Secure Access service request form

Before completing this form please read the guidance on the Secure Access Help Section.

Please note: any changes to accounts should be dealt with by your organisation’s Approver and will only be actioned by DfE if you do not have an Approver.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of service requests and we will respond to you as soon as possible.

This form should only be used by approvers who have a locked account on Secure Access.

For other accounts please contact your local approver in the first instance as they will be able to unlock your account. ​

Any request by a non-Approver will be referred to your Approver and not actioned by DfE. ​

This form should be used by approvers at new institutions who wish to activate their account.

In the first instance please contact the local approver in your organisation to request that they create the Secure Access account for you. The Secure Access Service Desk will not create an account if your organisation has an existing Approver.

Please contact your local approver in the first instance who can issue you with a password reset email for your account where you can also change your security question and answer yourself. The Secure Access Service Desk will not update a base user account if your organisation has an existing Approver.​

The Secure Access Service Desk will only be able to grant you access to a different service in exceptional circumstances and any request would need to be authorised by the head of your organisation. In most cases you will need to wait until the approver is available to process your request.​

The Secure Access Service Desk can identify the Approver at your organisation but any requests for new accounts or changes to current accounts will still need to be made by your Approver.

As an approver, it is possible for you to transfer these rights yourselves - please see the approver guide where this is covered. Please follow these instructions in the first instance before logging a service request.

The applications available to a user are controlled by the type of organisation you belong to and whether the Approver has given you  access. Please see the approver guide for the list of applications available to your organisation.

Please ask the Approver to complete the service request if your organisation type should have access but your Approver is unable to select it for your account.
